Socializing, the need of the hour

Marketing is a term that we are already familiar with and its need is imperative for all and any sort of organization. (In case, you are hearing this term for the first time, please hit the back button as this is enough reading for today. You may watch some porn now.)

Gone are the days when newspapers, banners and hoardings were considered to be the ultimate medium of marketing. Well it's quite obvious, isn't it. (They are not even cool for watching babes nowadays.

Better looking girls are already available on Facebook and the best part is, you can actually talk to them as well.) Back in the day, our day used to start with a hot cup of coffee and a newspaper. But now, coffee may be there, but certainly no one would be seen with a newspaper now. Okay, very few people would be seen behind the newspapers. I just forgot to include the oldie types. Today's generation hide behind their laptops or are glued to their smart phones. No matter what the device may be, there's one thing in common, FACEBOOK-the ultimate addiction.

Socializing has become the way of life (not a part of life). From business point of view, if you want to be known, be social. If you want to be heard, be social. If you want to survive, be social. Because no one's going to know that you exist until you are on some social networking site. (By social networking site, I meant only Facebook and Twitter. Orkut and MySpace? Who are they....sounds familiar?) I guess, that day is not quite far when population census would be done based on the number of social accounts). So, whoever wants to be counted as a living human being, get a social account or your death certificate would be issued soon.

Social media has turned the face of marketing upside down. Presence means to be present on the social media so every organization today strive to make their presence felt on social platforms. One of the many reasons that help these organizations to score better on such social platforms as compared with the conventional marketing arenas is the ability to interact, involve and get people involved. They get a chance to come close to their customers or would be customers. People today feel a stronger bond on
Facebook rather than in real life. They prefer the digital partners above the real ones. This digital world has engrossed us and has hooked us onto it.

The game of marketing is played on a simple rule, show yourself in the direction your customers are looking most often. This is the only way you can get yourself noticed.
